In Cairo, your private Egyptologist / guide provides you with excellent explanations during the excursions to Pharaonic and Medieval Cairo. Of course you see the great pyramids and the mysterious sphinx. On top of that you visit the necropolis of Saqqara with pyramids and mastabas. You'll be guided through old Cairo where you can familiarize yourself with the roots of Christianity while visiting some of the world's first churches. In the medieval Islamic part of Cairo you visit the beautiful mosque of Muhammad Ali and can absorb the atmosphere of an Oriental bazaar. You also will have lots of time to admire the pharaonic treasures during a guided tour in the world-famous Egyptian Museum.

- Dinner while sailing the Nile with live-entertainment of an Oriental Belly Dance Show
For the second part of the tour, a flight to Aswan brings you to the starting point of a four days luxurious cruise on the Nile. Included in the cruise program are guided visits of the amazing temples of the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt. Not only will you see the temples, your guide provides you with detailed information about the premises and the deities. The cruise ends in Luxor where you visit the royal tombs as well as several temples sites. For your comfort a few extra days are added in Luxor to relax at a luxurious resort beautifully located on its own garden island in the Nile.
